EXCL: Man United eyeing to hijack Liverpool target ‘left-footed Pogba’

Manchester United has made touch with Bayern Munich about the possibility of signing Ryan Gravenberch.

The Peoples Person reported earlier today on the renewal of United’s interest in bringing Gravenberch to Old Trafford.

Earlier in the transfer window, the Netherlands international was said to be on Erik ten Hag’s wishlist, but links faded as attention switched to Mason Mount.

Even after acquiring Mount’s services, Ten Hag is said to be looking for another midfielder.

Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina is a player highly regarded by the Red Devils.

Everton star Amadou Onana is also wanted by United, according to reports. Gravenberch is the most recent name to be mentioned in this context.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, although Ten Hag’s search for reinforcements in the middle of the park continues, any arrival is heavily reliant on player sales.

Scott McTominay or Donny van de Beek will have to leave before a fresh recruit can be brought in.

Van van Beek is currently in talks with Real Sociedad, who are interested in signing him.

“Amadou Onana has been approached by United,” Pedulla said, adding that “contacts with Bayern for Ryan Gravenberch have been made in the last few hours.”

Gravenberch wants to leave the Allianz Arena, where he has struggled for first-team minutes since joining from Ajax last summer.

Liverpool are also interested in the 21-year-old. The youngster is claimed to have two offers, one from Manchester United and the other from Liverpool.

Gravenberch’s priority, according to Pedulla, is United and a reunion with Ten Hag.

It’s still early, and for the time being, it’s a waiting game to see who makes the most progress in a deal for the Dutch midfielder.
