Tom Brady joked backstage with the South Korean girl group Blackpink, his daughter Vivian, and her friend that he has a ‘new gig in retirement’ since quitting the NFL.
The former New England Patriots quarterback, 46, who retired from the NFL after 23 seasons, shared a photo of the meeting on Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
‘Thank you for the warmth and gratitude,’ the NFL veteran wrote beside a photo of himself with the group’s Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé.
The three-time NFL MVP, who retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, has three children: son John Edward Thomas Moynahan, 15, with actress Bridget Moynahan, 52, son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, with former Gisele Bundchen, 43.
The three-time NFL MVP was spotted at the event on Friday at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, where he once played against the Jets and Giants.
On the PopBase Twitter account, he was seen in the crowd wearing a black ballcap from his apparel business TB12 and a white T-shirt.
Brady responded to the tweet with a trio of laughing emojis, writing, “This is the most “dad brings his daughter and her pals to a concert” picture ever taken.”
Brady has spent the football-free summer with his children, as seen by his recent trip to Africa with Vivian and Jack.
‘What a great journey to the most amazing continent…Africa,’ Brady wrote on Instagram. ‘It was another great reminder that life is REALLY about connections and memories,’ she says.
Brady stated in the article that the people with whom he has shared the greatest life-changing experiences are “my children, my family, my loved ones, and friends.”
Brady, who has a romantic relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk, continued, ‘I am taking these next days one at a time, focusing on being my best self for myself and others, and living a life of integrity and purpose.’
Brady told People magazine in June that he had ‘plenty of wonderful plans’ for a nice summer with the kids, both with him and with ex-wife Bündchen (who has since been linked to jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim Valente following their divorce).
‘These kids are going to have a really fantastic summer,’ Brady told the site. ‘It’s fascinating because there’s so much tied to their friends’ devices and so on.
‘But I think it’s always a mix between letting kids do those things and maintaining connected with individuals from Boston, Tampa, Costa Rica, and Brazil,’ she says.
Brady, who retired from the NFL with a 251-82 record, referred to his children as ‘three beautiful angels’ in an Instagram post on Father’s Day in June.
‘Being a Dad is the best thing in my life,’ he said, adding that he was grateful to be able to pass on skills he learned from his father, Thomas Brady Sr., to ‘Jack, Benny, and Vivi.’
‘They have taught me how to be present (still working on this daily) and love every moment (mainly) that we have as a family, because that’s what counts most,’ Brady explained.
