Man Utd Predicted XI vs Spurs: Mount & Sancho to start on the wings, Rashford hungry for first goal

Manchester United will play Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday evening in London, their first away game of the season. United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 at Old Trafford on Monday evening and will be looking for their first away point.

United’s win over Wolves on Monday night was far from convincing, but Raphael Varane opened the scoring this season with a header from an Aaron Wan-Bissaka cross into the area. However, there was substantial debate about a late penalty ruling.

New goalie Andre Onana was deemed to have fouled a Wolves player in the area, but no penalty was issued by the authorities, resulting in Wolves losing their first Premier League match of the season, prompting the ABU media to harp on about it all week.

To beat Spurs in their home stadium, United will need to establish some early form. It is critical that United win their first two games to put themselves in good shape for the upcoming big matchups, including the start of the UEFA Champions League next month.

Manchester United’s predicted starting lineup is 4-2-3-1.

Onana;

Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, and Shaw are all starters.

Eriksen, Casemiro;

Mount, Sancho, Fernandes;

Rashford

Onana is the goalkeeper

Andre Onana made his Premier League debut for Manchester United against Wolves on Monday night at Old Trafford. He preserved a clean sheet as United claimed all three points with a 1-0 victory. However, there was considerable dispute late in the game with a penalty call.

Nothing was granted in the end, but that didn’t stop the ABU media from projecting hate toward United, which is what these miserable folks seem to do best when they don’t have any other hot subjects to discuss – even when City won the treble.

Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, and Shaw are the defenders

Over the last two seasons, the defense has improved. The days of relying on Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof in the center of the defense are long gone. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez must now put their bodies on the line for United to keep clean sheets.

Varane and Martinez started in the center of the back four against Wolves, but the Argentine was substituted at halftime after being booked and suffering from a slight ankle injury. He could return to the United starting lineup against Wolves, or he could sit out.

Casemiro and Eriksen play in the midfield

United’s midfield features some outstanding players this season, but the squad needs more depth to get through the rest of the season. United must be more active in the transfer market in order to add depth and keep players fresh.

Casemiro is the midfielder who chooses himself, and he will start the bulk of matches this season, particularly in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. The Brazilian has been a tremendous performer for United this season, doing so much.

Sancho, Fernandes, and Mount are the attacking midfielders

United have good players in these places, but it did not work as well as it could have against Wolves. Ten Hag, I believe, will need to make some adjustments against the Spurs in order to get the most out of his club. It will also help athletes get ready for the season.

Jadon Sancho came on late against Wolves and showed promise. He had a fantastic pre-season and appears hungry this season, which could be his last chance to succeed at the club. He achieved a lot at Borussia Dortmund, but he has declined so far at United.

Bruno Fernandes should preserve his place in the center of the three behind the striker, but he must improve on his performance against Wolves. The club captain will need to lead from the front, something he is very capable of doing.

Rashford, forward

Marcus Rashford is not a striker, but with Manchester United being short on attacking players due to injuries, it is probable that he will continue to lead the line despite the fact that he does not appear to be scoring in the forward position anytime soon. But it could change – maybe!

Rashford scored 30 goals last season and will need to maintain that pace this season. Can he pull it off? Nobody knows! But I’m sure he’ll be looking to establish a name for himself in the Premier League and beyond this season.

When Anthony Martial is fit, he can do some good things, but last season demonstrated that he was a rarity, which will need to change this season. On a good day, Martial can lead the charge for United, but he has also had enough of poor days.
