Losing 2 matches in a row, Al Nassr immediately recruited Ronaldo’s compatriot

Al Nassr, the club where Cristiano Ronaldo plays, recently spent 60 million euros to bring back the Portuguese star’s compatriot.

After losing 1-2 to Al Ettifaq last week, Al Nassr was recently defeated by rival Al Taawoun with a score of 2-0 after 90 minutes of play. Before two consecutive defeats, Al Nassr, the team that Cristiano Ronaldo is playing for, responded by splurging on player shopping. More specifically, the ambitious team in Saudi Arabia is said to spend 60 million euros on a new contract. 

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr has reached an agreement to sign Otavio from Portuguese side Porto. This year, 28 years old, Otavio has been playing for Porto since 2015, and is quite versatile when he plays both as an attacking midfielder and as a winger. With the return of the Portuguese star’s compatriot, Ronaldo, the Al Nassr coaching staff hopes to strengthen the team’s midfield even more. 

In this summer’s transfer window, Al Nassr spent big to bring in the likes of Sadio Mane, Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana. Also need to know, since Ronaldo arrived in Saudi Arabia in January, the clubs here have spent a lot of money to add to their squad. Al Nassr’s big rival Al Hilal has signed stars like Ruben Neves, Neymar and Kalidou Koulibaly. While the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho joined Al Ittihad.
