According to Il Tirreno, Manchester United will almost probably make a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat before the summer transfer deadline.
Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund have already joined the Red Devils, and further investment might be made before the transfer window shuts.
United could be interested in signing a defensive midfielder, and Il Tirreno claims that the Red Devils will ‘almost likely’ make a formal bid to capture Amrabat from Fiorentina.
Liverpool has also been linked, although manager Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to chase another midfielder with the’same attributes’ as new arrival Wataru Endo.

Fiorentina is expecting a €30 million package with bonuses to sell Amrabat.
Depending on player sales, United could make a move for Amrabat.
The club recently sold Fred to Fenerbahce for €15 million. They are now expecting bids for Donny van de Beek, who has yet to appear in a match this season.
United manager Erik ten Hag said yesterday that the midfielder might leave the club, and his departure, in our opinion, could open the way for Amrabat’s entrance.
The Red Devils could explore selling the Dutchman permanently or accept a loan deal with a necessary buy clause. This would enable the club to recoup its losses.

Amrabat has already accepted in principle to a transfer, and it is now up to United to reach an agreement with Fiorentina before the transfer window shuts.
The Moroccan would be a good signing for United. Last season, he had a passing accuracy of 90% in Serie A. With his ball handling, he would be an excellent midfield boost.

The Utrecht graduate lacks Casemiro’s tough tackling abilities, but makes up for it with his astute placement, unrelenting workrate, and ability to commit tactical fouls.
United might negotiate a lower upfront sum with add-ons for Amrabat, but Fiorentina have stated unequivocally that they want €30 million for his services or are happy to keep him for another year.
Amrabat’s current contract expires in June 2024, but La Viola have a 12-month option.
