Callum Hudson-Odoi’s transfer from Chelsea to Fulham has been canceled.
The outcast of the Blues has been linked with a move to the Cottagers all summer.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has been signed by Chelsea instead of Fulham. To sign Callum Hudson-Odoi for Chelsea, Fulham withdrew their interest.
The 22-year-old Hudson-Odoi was rumored to be up for sale for as cheap as £4.5 million.
That’s in spite of the fact that Chelsea had previously requested as much as £70 million due to interest from Bayern Munich.
A deal with Fulham, however, has fallen through because the two teams couldn’t agree on a price.
After Todd Boehly’s £1 billion spending binge over the last three transfer windows, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to downsize his Blues team.
Now, the winger will most likely join Everton or Nottingham Forest.
And Hudson-Odoi is certain that in order to revive his once-promising career, he must permanently quit the club.
Hudson Odoi, who made his debut appearances for the first team in 126 matches and 16 goals since joining the Blues as a young player in 2007, has also won the Champions League, Europa League, Club World Cup, and Uefa Super Cup.
After making his varsity debut in 2019, Bayern expressed a strong interest in him and made a £22.5 million offer, which the Blues rejected.
The three-cap England forward was given a five-year deal by Chelsea, but they are now willing to let him go for a far cheaper sum.
Last season, Hudson-Odoi struggled while on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, making just 14 appearances.
And following the additions of Raheem Sterling, Mykhalio Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Carney Chukwuemeka, he has fallen even farther down the Chelsea pecking order.
Hudson-Odoi must also avoid the new strikers Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
The academy graduate has until the transfer window ends on September 1 to make a decision.
