Serbia’s biggest absentee will be Nikola Jokic

The Atlanta Hawks’ guard Bogdan Bogdanovic will be in responsibility of leading the team.

Serbian coach Svetislav Pesic released the final selection of 12 players for the FIBA World Cup 2023, with NBA star Nikola Jokic leading the way.

And it appears that the pivot was uninterested in representing his country.

The center decided to recuperate after a long and arduous 2022-23 NBA season, since it should be remembered that he was a key figure in bringing the Denver Nuggets to their first title.

The presence of a two-time NBA MVP elevated Serbia to one of the favorites to win the World Cup.The picture is becoming increasingly complicated.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, guard for the Atlanta Hawks, will lead the team in Group B, which includes China, Puerto Rico, and South Sudan. The global event will take place in Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines from August 25 to September 10.
