Manchester United are said to be considering signing Ryan Bertrand to replace Luke Shaw. Shaw is currently suffering from muscle problems and is expected to be out of action for several months. Express reported that Bertrand was among the candidates evaluated by the Red Devils for the vacant position. At 34, Bertrand is currently club-free after his contract with Leicester City expired earlier this summer. However, he has not participated in a professional match since December 2021.
