Lauryn Rush, Cooper Rush’s wife, is relishing every moment of the Cowboys quarterback’s big day.
On Sunday, Lauryn gushed about Rush, who helped lead Dallas to its first win of the season after filling in for injured starter Dak Prescott, who is recovering from thumb surgery.
“Daddy,” she captioned a snapshot of Rush, who threw for 235 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions as the Cowboys defeated the Bengals 20-17.
Rush stated after his second career start on Sunday, “You just want to do your job, trust your teammates.”
Lauryn maintained the festivities on social media hours after the game with a “Victory Monday” post.
Rush and the Cowboys will play the Giants on “Monday Night Football” in Week 3 in the Meadowlands. For the first time since 2016, Dallas’ division foe is 2-0.
Although it remains to be seen whether Rush’s biggest fan will make the journey, one thing is certain: Lauryn will be rooting for the quarterback on game day, no matter how close or distant.
Rush and Lauryn began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement two years later in July 2019.
“I would have said yes the first day I met you,” Lauryn remarked at the time on Instagram. “Cooper Robert Rush, you are the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The couple married in June 2020 and had a daughter, Ayla, in April 2021.
