The most expensive rookie Moises Caicedo made fun of himself because of his technical error

Midfielder Moises Caicedo, Chelsea’s most expensive contract in English football history, has just made a joke of himself after a technical error in the match against Luton this morning.

Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton in the summer of 2023 transfer for a record price of English football, up to 115 million pounds. However, he has yet to show his worth.

On his debut for his new team when he came on as a substitute against West Ham last week, Caicedo became a criminal. He fouled that led to a penalty for Lucas Paqueta to seal a 3-1 win for the Hammers.

Going to the match against Luton this morning , Caicedo was kicked from the beginning. He played quite well with 4 wins in duels, 2 interceptions and 97% accurate passing. Even the Sofascore site gave Caicedo a high score of 7.4.

However, this player still leaves an image that is not very proud. Accordingly, in a situation of holding the ball in the middle of the field and not under much pressure from the opponent, Caicedo decided to use personal technique to overcome the opponent.

But he was caught by Tahith Chong on Luton’s side and stole the ball. The visitors quickly had a dangerous counter-attack but fortunately for Caicedo they could not score.

Witnessing this, many Chelsea fans have given criticism towards Caicedo. One person wrote: “Is he drunk? Caicedo should keep it simple.”

Another user commented: “Moises Caicedo made a ball of a lifetime against Luton”. While another commented: “Chelsea paid a record price for a clown?”.
