Kevin De Bruyne chooses Bruno as the best midfielder in the Premier League ahead of Odegaard and Maddison

After aggravating a hamstring injury on the first day of the Premier League, Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out of competitive play for the foreseeable future.

The newly appointed Manchester City captain is anticipated to miss at least three months after limping out in their match against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley.

Given the severity of his injury, another player will have to assume the role of the Belgian, who has been the best playmaker in the league in previous seasons.

De Bruyne was asked to name another playmaker in the Premier League, and he unexpectedly said Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.

” I think he’s a creative machine. I think he’s always there. He has been doing it for a long time. He takes a lot of risks also, and I like it. Obviously, he’s been doing so well,” he said in an interview with Sky Sports

One of United’s most dependable players, the Portuguese international was recently named captain by manager Erik ten Hag.

A group of three players, including James Maddison of Tottenham and Martin Odegaard of Arsenal, were up for selection by De Bruyne. He placed Maddison in second position and requested additional time to observe Maddison in a major league club before making his judgment.
