26 y/o Man United star now reported Bayern Munich’s target for a swap deal

Bayern Munich could offer Ryan Gravenberch in a swap deal for Scott McTominay.

According to Bild (via Manchester Evening News), Bayern Munich is interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay and may add Ryan Gravenberch in a stunning swap deal.

We know United is looking for a midfielder, and Gravenberch is on their radar, as are archrivals Liverpool.

We also know that the Red Devils are willing to cash in on McTominay before the summer window closes. West Ham made a bid that was turned down a few days ago.

That is a possibility given that Bayern Munich is interested in signing him. Thomas Tuchel, their manager, wants to sign a proper number six. I’m not sure if they want the 26-year-old Scotsman for that, but who are we to judge their decisions?

What United must do is accept this and ensure that Gravenberch is included in the agreement. The Dutchman has the potential to provide a new multifaceted dimension to the midfield, which has been absent in the first three games of the season.

Erik ten Hag’s men are also interested in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. So it’s either him or Gravenberch coming in and strengthening the midfield. Both players are superior to McTominay. So that’s an immediate improvement.

Gravenberch is a flexible player who can play in a double pivot, as one of the number eights in a three-man midfield, or as a number 10 behind a striker such as Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dutchman has exceptional ball skills, is tall and physically strong, and is capable of playing the box-to-box role.

He’ll only get better under Ten Hag’s tutelage as he gets older. United cannot afford to pass up this chance to sign him. Remember that Liverpool has also been connected with a deal for him. We know they’re also looking for a midfielder.
