Bayern Munich and Man United are discussing a swap loan deal for Scott McTominay and Ryan Gravenberch

Man United and Bayern Munich could swap McTominay and Gravenberch before the summer transfer window closes.

Bayern are really considering the possibility of signing Man United’s Scott McTominay. Coach Tuchel wants a deep midfielder at the moment. Meanwhile, MU has long targeted Ryan Gravenberch to improve the strength of the midfield.

Man United have been hunting for a new central midfielder all summer. They are in contact with Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina at the moment. However, this deal is still facing a small problem and still cannot be completed when the transfer window is only a few days away from closing.

Man United’s midfield is being considered a weak point at the moment. Casemiro shows signs of decline compared to last year’s explosive season. Meanwhile, rookie Mason Mount played too ineffectively when placed next to Bruno Fernandes. The asynchronous pressing of attack and midfield makes Man United fragile in every match.

Ryan Gravenberch will almost certainly be playing more at Man United than Bayern Munich. However, Gravenberch is hardly equal in value to McTominay, so a horizontal exchange of these two players is unlikely. Unless the Bayern side adds money to the contract, this exchange is unlikely to be completed.

Over the weekend, Man United played with a central midfield pair of Casemiro and Chrsitian Eriksen to support Bruno Fernandes. With this midfield, MU still has many difficulties against Nottingham Forest. If keeping the current staff, it is likely that MU will bounce out of the top 4 this season.
