Speaking before the match against Fulham, Martin Odegaard insisted he is ready to continue making the next 11m for Arsenal.
In the second round of the English Premier League 2023/24, Arsenal were a guest at Crystal Palace. The Gunners were awarded a penalty early in the second half, Bukayo Saka was the regular to take penalties for Arsenal last season, but it was Martin Odegaard who took the penalty against Palace.
The Norwegian player successfully made it to Arsenal to win 1-0. After the match, he confirmed that he wanted to take the kick and was accepted by Saka. The former Real Madrid star also revealed that in the series of friendlies in the summer of 2023 he has successfully completed 11m shots many times, which gives the midfielder confidence.
Speaking before the match against Fulham, Martin Odegaard insisted he is ready to continue making the next 11m for Arsenal. ” I have to thank Bukayo Saka for agreeing to let me take the penalty against Crystal Palace,” he said.
“It’s not something we discussed before the game, but we practiced penalties a lot before the season, and we both did it well, so I’m happy. As I mentioned before, I’m ready to take the next penalty for Arsenal.”
“Now we’ll see what happens next game, if Arsenal get the extra penalty we’ll see who feels good and wants to take it.”
