Man Utd target very excited to play with two international teammates at Old Trafford

Manchester United are considering signing Denmark’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

According to the Telegraph, Tottenham are interested in signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Manchester United also interested.

After allowing Fred to leave, United are searching for methods to reinforce in midfield, while youngster Kobbie Mainoo is out with an injury.

Hojbjerg has worked with Erik ten Hag at Bayern Munich, and that isn’t his only link to Manchester United.

Hojlund relationship

Hojbjerg is a Denmark international with 65 caps and five goals to his name.

His most recent outings have seen him watch Rasmus Hojlund’s meteoric rise, which has seen him score six goals in six international games, already outscoring him.

Hojlund’s best game was a hat-trick against Finland, and Hojbjerg made a point of applauding him afterward.

According to Hojbjerg, “we also had someone up front who had fun.”

Eriksen relationship

Hojbjerg is much more familiar with Manchester United player Christian Eriksen. The pair have played together 52 times for Denmark.

Eriksen’s breakdown at Euro 2020 was an emotional occasion for Hojbjerg, who told Sky Sports about it.

He also acknowledged to consulting Eriksen regarding Antonio Conte’s appointment at Tottenham Hotspur [via One Football] because his international teammate had worked with him at Chelsea.

If he moves to Old Trafford, he won’t have to ask him about Erik ten Hag. He already knows him well enough.
