‘Blow for Jurgen Klopp’: Many pundits report Salah is ‘likely to leave Liverpool’ this week

Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool this week, according to Jan Aage Fjortoft, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

The commentator resorted to social media to speculate that the 31-year-old could be leaving Anfield, with Al-Ittihad recently linked with a bid for Salah.

Fjortoft is the second analyst this week to speculate that Salah is about to leave Liverpool for a move to the Middle East, following Richard Keys’ speculation on his personal website.

Salah has piqued the interest of Al-Ittihad in recent days, with the Saudi Arabian conglomerate poised to make a move for the Egyptian international later this week.

With the English transfer window closing on Friday, Liverpool losing Salah now would be a nightmare, even if the Reds received a record amount for the winger.

Liverpool must do everything possible to keep Salah.

Salah is arguably one of the most crucial players in the Liverpool squad, with the attacker simply too valuable for the Reds to let go even if Saudi Arabia offered £100 million or more.

Salah, 31, is in the prime of his career and will be crucial to the Reds’ quest to return to the UEFA Champions League and beyond this season.

And if Liverpool can get through this week, there’s no knowing how far Salah can take Jurgen Klopp’s team, with the forward showing no signs of slowing down.
