Rasmus Hojlund could make his Manchester United debut when they face rivals Arsenal at the weekend, after the Dane was included in the national team for the international series in September. The youngster is yet to feature for the club. New club due to injury before the season.
Denmark on Tuesday revealed its 23-man squad for the international series in September, where they will face San Marino and Finland in Euro 2024 qualifying.
Several names familiar to Premier League fans have appeared on the list, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Tottenham and Christian Eriksen of Manchester United.
Another notable addition is striker Rasmus Hojlund, who joined Eriksen at Old Trafford this summer. The attacking star has yet to play for Erik ten Hag’s team due to a pre-season strain on his back.
Rasmus Hojlund’s choice to join the national team bodes well for his fitness, and Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand revealed that there is an agreement with the Premier League club: “I have some clear agreements with the club. . It’s best for him (Hojlund) to have a few minutes so we can see that he’s ready.”
“He lacks game time, that’s clear, but Hojlund will play some role for Denmark, so we’ll have to see what he can do.”
In the best case scenario, Man United fans will see their new star in action for the first time this weekend when they travel to London to face rivals Arsenal in the fourth series.
