‘Four men shorlisted’ – United move nearer to securing four signings before transfer deadline

Manchester United still has unfinished business as the transfer window closes, and there could be a lot of new arrivals.

Many people would remember and prefer the days before transfer periods and deadlines. But, at the very least, a fixed deadline gives this indecisive Manchester United regime a deadline.

Without this Friday’s transfer deadline, the Glazers would most certainly leave everyone guessing about the unsolved positions in Manchester United’s roster, as they have done with the takeover.

Manchester United appear to be getting closer to signing at least four new players ahead of the deadline.

Altay Bayindir

Altay Bayindir, Manchester United’s new backup goalkeeper, is anticipated to be signed soon.

According to the Mail, Bayindir might cost as little as £4.3 million. He will take over for Dean Henderson, who is scheduled to join Crystal Palace.

With Andre Onana now slated to represent Cameroon at the AFCON, the Turkey international may need to step up in January.

Marc Cucurella

Manchester United have been forced to look for a replacement left-back after Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia were both injured.

A move for the world’s most expensive left-back isn’t a bad temporary answer, with Marc Cucurella listed as a possibility.

Cucurella is surplus to needs at Chelsea and eager to resurrect his career at Old Trafford, according to Marca.

Sofyan Amrabat

This one has carried on long enough to be called a “saga.” We all know Sofyan Amrabat wants to join Manchester United, but the question has been how much the club is willing to pay for him.

According to the Athletic, United are finally in talks with Fiorentina about a loan move.

An agreement has not yet been reached, but we are certain that it will be reached in time for the transfer deadline, one way or another.

Jonny Evans

Manchester United are poised to sign Jonny Evans on a one-year contract, which is both uninspired and necessary.

Evans is a free agent, therefore this might be resolved after the transfer deadline. However, with Raphael Varane out, United will want the option of calling Evans into the squad for this weekend’s encounter, which would need him registering by Friday midday.

According to BBC Sport’s Simon Stone, Varane’s injury makes it ‘clear’ that Evans will be handed a contract.
