UCL draw: PSG faces a big challenge when French team is in the same group as Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle

At the draw for the Champions League group stage for the 2023-2024 season on the evening of August 31, lucky draws pushed Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) into a difficult group.

Specifically, PSG fell into Group F of the Champions League this season. They will have to face Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle.

Apparently this is the “table of death” of the tournament. PSG  owns many stars like Kylian Mbappe, Asensio, Marquinhos,… Meanwhile, Dortmund is always an annoying team. The representative of Germany has never been underestimated in the European arena. They also won the Champions League once.

And AC Milan is a team with tradition and history with 7 Champions League titles. Last season, the Italian representative reached the semi-finals.

Newcastle is definitely an unknown in Group F. Since being invested with money from Saudi Arabia, this team has transformed significantly.

From just being a team that had to compete for relegation, Newcastle reached the top 4 of the Premier League last season and thereby won tickets to the Champions League.

After many years of absence from this arena, Newcastle has returned. And they can completely bring surprises.

In the remaining groups, the big teams are almost all in easy groups. In Group A, Bayern Munich and Man Utd will face each other. This is also a match worth watching. But their remaining two opponents, Copenhagen and Galatasaray, are not overrated. Therefore, Bayern and Man Utd can completely win tickets to continue.

Defending champion Man City also has a relatively light group. Their opponents include Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys.

Group B can also be considered quite an interesting group because of the presence of defending Europa League champion Sevilla. In the same group as them is Arsenal, runner-up in the Premier League last season. Meanwhile, PSV and Lens are teams whose performance is not too inferior to the two teams mentioned above.
