Despite Liverpool’s ‘not for sale’ stance, Mohamed Salah might yet join Al Ittihad.
The Reds have been very clear with the Saudi Pro League club from the start: Mo is not leaving. Nonetheless, rumors of a departure have persisted.
With deadline day approaching, Liverpool fans may be confident that their Egyptian King will continue to wear red in the short, medium, and long term. But, according to 90min, it’s not quite that simple.
They believe that, despite Liverpool’s public – and private – declarations, Al Ittihad intends to proceed with their Salah plan.
90min report that the Saudi club can bring in players until September 20th, despite today’s European transfer deadline. Other sources, however, dispute this, claiming a September 7th deadline.
Nonetheless, Al Ittihad are apparently willing to offer Liverpool a British record £120 million. They are also rumored to be willing to make Salah the world’s highest-paid footballer.
Given all of this, the 31-year-old is said to be ‘bent’ on moving. Despite the Reds’ tough stance,’sources with knowledge of the issue’ claim a deal is still possible.
