PSG owns trio of forwards from the French team when successfully recruiting Kolo Muani for €90M

After many efforts, PSG finally successfully recruited striker Randal Kolo Muani from Frankfurt in a deal worth 90 million euros.

Of this number, 75 million euros is the transfer fee that PSG must pay to the Bundesliga representative, while 15 million euros is an additional fee, depending on Muani’s performance at the club. He signed a contract with PSG until 2028. Thus, the 24-year-old striker became PSG’s 13th rookie in Summer 2023.

Muani joined Frankfurt on a free last summer, quickly becoming the mainstay of the club. This season, the French striker has 4 appearances for the German team in all competitions, scoring 3 goals. In total, Muani has made 50 appearances for Frankfurt, contributing 26 goals and 16 assists.

Perhaps the deepest impression that Muani left on fans was in the 2022 World Cup final between Argentina and France. At the last moment of the second extra time, when the score was 3-3, Muani had a clear escape but his kick could not beat goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. If the ball goes into the net, France is crowned champion, not Argentina.

With the successful recruitment of Muani, PSG now possesses a truly formidable attack including quality names such as Kylian Mbappe, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele or Marco Asensio. Muani’s forte is playing in the slot, so he will compete for an official position with Ramos – who has yet to score a goal after 2 appearances for PSG in Ligue 1 this season.

PSG will be a guest against Lyon in the latest match of round 4 of Ligue 1. It is unclear whether Muani can debut or not because he has just arrived in Paris. Currently, PSG ranks 8th with 5 points, 3 points behind top team Marseille.
