‘Just perfect display’: Pundit says 24 y/o Liverpool star has just performed his best performance at Anfield

After viewing Liverpool attacker Darwin Nunez’s performance against Aston Villa this afternoon, pundit Leon Osman heaped praise on him.

Darwin Nunez wowed pundit Leon Osman this afternoon as Liverpool easily defeated Aston Villa at Anfield.

Dominik Szoboszlai scored a stunning opening goal for the Reds against Unai Emery’s team.

Liverpool made it 2-0 when Nunez hit the post, only for the ball to slam into the net off Matty Cash.

Mohamed Salah added a third goal to seal Liverpool’s third straight Premier League victory.

Nunez failed to score as he experienced a disappointing day in front of goal just a week after his brace against Newcastle United.

The Uruguayan had five shots, but none of them were on target, as he hit the woodwork twice.

Nunez is basically a constant danger, but his end result isn’t quite consistent enough.

Former Everton player Leon Osman, a pundit, has recently told BBC Sport that Nunez’s performance was his best ever.

“Darwin Nunez was as good as I’ve seen him,” Osman said of the former Benfica player.

Darwin Nunez desperately needs a chance in the Liverpool team right now.

Nunez appeared to have turned a corner with two very clinical finishes to win the game at Newcastle.

We didn’t witness Nunez’s ruthlessness against Villa, but the risk is there.

What we’d like to see now is Nunez given a chance as Liverpool’s central striker.

Liverpool have other options through the middle in Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota, but Nunez needs that chance right now.

The 24-year-old definitely has a lot of talent, but he will only discover it if he is given regular playing time.

Jurgen Klopp should keep Nunez in the lineup after the international break, certain that he will reproduce his performance in Newcastle in the future.
