Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, put up his greatest performance of the season in today’s 3-0 Premier League triumph over Aston Villa.

The Hungarian international has been a fantastic addition for the Merseyside giants, scoring his first goal for the club against Villans with a spectacular left-footed effort from the outskirts of the area. Aside from his strike, the 22-year-old generated two important opportunities, completing 51 of his 56 passes (91% accuracy).

Szoboszlai also executed three crosses and won all three aerial duels. He didn’t have much to do defensively against Unai Emery’s team, but he was outstanding with his ball control and delivery once again. The midfielder has already looked at ease at Anfield after only four league appearances.
Liverpool has been searching for a creative center midfielder for some years, but they now have two in their roster. Since the beginning of the campaign, Szoboszlai has been a revelation, and we should see more of Alexis Mac Allister if he is allowed more leeway to move forward.
In comparison to last season, Mac Allister has played in a deeper role for Brighton & Hove Albion. After Ryan Gravenberch is added to the starting lineup, we could see him play further up the field. Meanwhile, Liverpool has had a fantastic start to the season, drawing 1-1 at Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp’s team had won three games in a row, including a dramatic late 2-1 victory over Newcastle United in which they played for more than 70 minutes with 10 men. The Merseyside giants have recovered the tenacity and resilience that were lacking last season, and fans should be overjoyed.
Liverpool return to action following the international break this month at the Molineux Stadium against Wolverhampton Wanderers. On Saturday, there will be an early kick-off, and Klopp will be hopeful that his squad can maintain its momentum.
