Jurgen Klopp makes statement on Salah’s future at Liverpool after the win against Aston Villa

Coach Jurgen Klopp announced that the decision of Liverpool owner (FSG) on the transfer of Mohamed Salah to Saudi Arabia has been made, while the Egyptian striker also had his own answer.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that Liverpool will not sell Mohamed Salah this summer as Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad made an improved offer for the 31-year-old Egyptian striker. The German strategist affirmed that Liverpool will refuse all offers for Mohamed Salah, when the Saudi Arabia champion prepares a new attractive offer.

Liverpool rejected an opening bid of £150m from Al Ittihad for Salah, 31, last Friday. Despite Liverpool’s offer being rejected, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is still ready to increase the asking price for Salah, possibly up to 200 million pounds before the Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on September 7.

However, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Salah will not leave the Anfield team this summer. Salah impressed when he just scored the winning goal in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa in the fourth round of the Premier League.

When asked whether Liverpool’s stance would remain the same on Salah, no matter how big the offer Al Ittihad made, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp replied: “Yes. Absolutely. I have never Now there are doubts about Mohamed Salah’s commitment to this club.”

Klopp added of Salah’s performance, “You cannot imagine how much noise the world has made, but how calm we are in front of it. Salah is our player and wants to play here. Salah didn’t tell me (wanted to stay at Liverpool) but he didn’t have to.

Mohamed Salah talks about his training, performances and behavior. We met this week and other meetings, not to talk about what we’ve done in the past, but about what we’ll do in the future.

Mo Salah is on the Liverpool team board. There are moments where he talks and there’s nothing like “by the way, this is until next week” or whatever. He’s completely here. If Dom said so (Dominik Szobloszlai announced Salah would stay at Liverpool), fine.

Mo Salah doesn’t have to come into my office and tell me “by the way, boss, I’m not going”. Honestly, for me, it’s not a topic for even a second, aside from questions from the outside.”

Meanwhile, Salah’s teammate at Liverpool, Dominik Szoboszlai, confirmed that Salah told his teammates that he wanted to stay at Anfield. “You know it’s football, people are talking,” Dominik Szoboszlai said. Of course we are talking but he (Salah) wants to stay, he wants to be here and with us, and he will stay. We are really happy, we need people in the team like him.

I always enjoy it. I am doing what I love. I think everyone is like this and if you’re 3-0 up you enjoy it. We showed last week that we enjoy being 1-0 up and we’re just doing our job.

If you score your first Liverpool goal at Anfield it’s always special. I look forward to receiving more. It could be more, it could be less. We accept this and we know if we go out and think the game is over we will be in trouble.

But we want to score another goal very quickly. We went out and scored another goal and just enjoyed it. I feel comfortable. I really like the boys, good guys, good players, good coach and I’m just enjoying it.”

Liverpool still face an uncomfortable week with the Saudi Pro League transfer window remaining open until Thursday. Al Ittihad, backed by the Saudi Arabian government, is preparing to increase the asking price for Salah, possibly up to £200 million, despite coach Jurgen Klopp affirming that Salah is not for sale, and the Egyptian striker also wants to stay at Liverpool.
