Liverpool’s new contract, Ryan Gravenberch, turned down the opportunity to play for the Dutch U21 team to focus on the process of adapting to the new club.
In the final hours of the transfer day, Ryan Gravenberch signed a 5-year contract with the Anfield team, thereby parting ways with Bayern Munich after 1 year with a transfer fee of 35 million pounds.
This deal is considered the final brick to strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s midfield. After a series of departures of midfield veterans, The Reds have brought in Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and now Gravenberch to replace them.
Recently, the Dutch Football Federation released a statement about the 21-year-old: “Rookie Liverpool midfielder has spoken to Netherlands Under-21 assistant Michael Reiziger that he wants to focus on his new club and Therefore, we will not be ready to serve the team this September.”
SC Cambuur midfielder Fedde de Jong will replace Gravenberch in the Netherlands Under-21 squad for matches against Moldova and North Macedonia.
Gravenberch told Liverpool’s website after the transfer closed: “I’m delighted the deal is done and I’m finally here. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
“Now we will have a new start, and I will give my all for Liverpool. My ambition is to win titles with Liverpool in all competitions and to prove to everyone who we are.” And who am I?”
