After ending the Miami Heat’s Cinderella tale on Monday night, the Denver Nuggets reached the NBA pinnacle for the first time in the team’s history, and Nuggets supporters celebrated properly.
The 46-year wait for Denver fans to witness their team win an NBA championship came to an end in Game 5 as a result of Nikola Jokic’s incredible performance, which helped the Nuggets defeat the Warriors 94-89.
Following the victory, some Nuggets supporters went in search of the closest stoplight and scaled it. Following a significant victory for their team, this has become standard behavior for fans across the nation. Dudes simply can’t resist the opportunity to get to the top of tall objects for some reason.
While descending from that tall object is another matter entirely, dropping seems to be the best course of action when there are numerous people below you.
Additionally, some supporters lit off some pyrotechnics in the center of the festival in downtown Denver.
Players from the actual championship-winning team joining the party outside is an uncommon sight, but that’s precisely what we saw from Aaron Gordon on Monday night. Fans setting off pyrotechnics and scaling lamp posts are nothing new.
Gordon, who only managed to score four points in Game 5, went outside to celebrate with the crowd while wearing nothing but a pricey chain around his neck.
Congratulation to Denver for being able to enjoy its second victory in two seasons after the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning to win the Stanley Cup the previous year.
