The Real Madrid star shared candidly about the rumors between Mbappe and Los Blancos, clarifying the noise during the past summer.
Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni is currently training with France to prepare for Euro 2024 qualifying. He was asked by a reporter about teammate Kylian Mbappe about the possibility of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Specifically, AS reported, Tchouameni was asked if Mbappe could join Real during the now-closed summer transfer window, to which he replied: “It is a possibility that could have happened in the summer.
Every club in the world wants him. Now he’s at PSG so we won’t say anything more about it. We are very happy with what we have now.”
Despite writing a letter to the Paris Saint-Germain board stating his desire to leave the club on a free transfer in 2024, Mbappe remained at Parc des Princes for the entire summer. L’Equipe reported that he was willing to give up a 100 million Euro bribe fee to return to PSG.
It is likely that Mbappe will extend, but there will be provisions to help him come to Real more smoothly and easily next summer.
For his part, Tchouameni joined Los Blancos from AS Monaco last year following competition from Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea. The France international had an impressive first season as he appeared in 50 matches in all competitions for Real, but lost his place in the starting lineup after the World Cup ended.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has put his faith in the 23-year-old at the start of the new season and Tchouameni has started all four La Liga matches to date. Los Blancos experimented with a 4-4-2 diamond formation, with Jude Bellingham thriving as the most advanced midfielder and Tchouameni shining as the deepest midfielder.
