Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool, ignoring his higher salary than Cristiano Ronaldo

Mohamed Salah will not join Al-Ittihad this summer, despite the Saudi Pro League team making an attractive offer for the Liverpool striker.

Speculation surrounding Salah’s future at Liverpool has become hotter recently, as a Saudi Arabian team is constantly pursuing the 31-year-old player.

However, the deal will be put on hold – at least for now – as Foot Mercato reported that the Egyptian will stay in the Premier League until the end of the 2023/24 season. So it seems that Liverpool has rejected the partners from Saudi Arabia, despite Al-Ittihad’s willingness to pay the highest transfer fee in world history.

SunSport further revealed that Al-Ittihad intends to pay Salah a “hard” salary of 2.45 million pounds per week. In addition, the Egyptian striker also receives a percentage of revenue from shirt sales. And yet, for every victory of Al-Ittihad, Salah will pocket an additional bonus of 55,000 pounds/match.

He also took on the role of brand ambassador for at least 3 major Saudi Arabian companies during his time playing football here. Each company agreed to pay Salah 6 million pounds/year for image promotion.

But now, everything will have to be postponed and wait for another time. Of course, not being able to buy Salah will be a big blow to the Saudi Pro League project owned by the state of Saudi Arabia, after a summer in which the Top players such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, and Roberto Firmino have all left Europe for this country.

As planned, Salah would have been the jewel in the crown for Al-Ittihad, the current champions of the tournament. However, it seems they will have to look elsewhere for attacking talent before the league’s transfer window closes on September 7.
