The Saudi Pro League Summer 2023 transfer window has officially ended with countless new records being set. The league spent a total of 958.87 million euros in the summer of 2023, according to Transfermarkt data.

This amount is only inferior to the Premier League (2.81 billion euros) and surpasses many other top leagues in Europe such as Ligue 1 (898.64 million euros), Serie A (854.36 million euros), Bundesliga ( 748.03 million euros) or La Liga (440.85 million euros).

The Middle Eastern country’s tournament has also continuously broken the record for the most expensive transfer in history, with the current leader being Neymar (transferred from PSG to Al-Hilal for 90 million euros).

In total, this tournament has added 280 players with an average spending of more than 53 million euros per club and an average price per rookie of 3.4 million euros.

In the opposite direction, they parted ways with 236 players and collected 66 million euros. Thus, the net spending of the Saudi Pro League is 892 million euros.
