The US Open is in full swing, and it has drawn the attention of stars and past stars from various sports, including NFL veteran Tom Brady, who has expressed his support for Serbian tennis sensation Novak Djokovic.
The Wimbledon 2023 finalist has advanced to the US Open final on his comeback to the competition after being unable to compete owing to a lack of the COVID-19 immunization.
Djokovic easily won his semi-final against unranked American Ben Shelton in three sets, putting him in the final.
Following the game, he was seen conversing with Brady, who had just recently resigned from professional football after becoming the most successful NFL player of all time.
The US Open’s X, formerly Twitter, account tweeted a video of Brady and his three sons greeting Djokovic after he reached his 10th US Open final.
“Keep kicking ass, like you always,” Brady added. “Trying, trying,” Djokovic said in response.

Brady and his sons were not there at Djokovic’s match against Shelton, which Brady quickly explained to Djokovic.
“I wish we could’ve seen you play tonight,” Brady lamented. “But [the kids] had school in Miami, so we had to wait for them to finish before flying up.” But I was hoping for the night game.”
Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the New York Jets, was in attendance, and Djokovic commented afterward, “It was a pleasure to have Aaron in the stands tonight for the match.” I hope he had a good time. Tom Brady being in my box for the Roland Garros finals and sitting next to my wife was obviously a big honor. Tom and I have been friends for many years. We return. I have a lot of admiration for him.”
