The NHL champion Alec Martinez reunites with Stanley Cup on lake

On a boat, a defender meets former Red Wings forward Draper; both have won numerous titles.

With some old acquaintances, Stanley was able to spend his long weekend at the lake.

Alec Martinez of the Vegas Golden Knights, who has won the Cup three times, ran across Kris Draper, a former Detroit Red Wings player who has also won the Cup four times, on his boat in Michigan on Wednesday as he was enjoying his third Stanley Cup victory of his career.

Martinez previously won the Cup with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014 before this season’s victory with the Golden Knights. Every championship Draper earned (1997, 1998, 2002, 2008) was with the Red Wings.

For a shot with their old pal Stanley, the two got together aboard Martinez’s yacht.

That is a person you should stay in touch with.
