‘That’s why’: German expert shares how Jurgen Klopp could leave Liverpool for Germany job

Pundit Archie Rhind-Tutt has highlighted what could persuade Jurgen Klopp to leave Liverpool and take over as manager of Germany.

The German football expert claimed on ESPN that the temptation of being the face of German football for a home tournament could be too good for Klopp to pass up.

The DFB fired Hansi Flick on Sunday after a 4-1 friendly loss to Japan, and the search is now on for a coach who can lead Germany to glory at Euro 2024 next year.

And, to no one’s surprise, Klopp’s name has surfaced, with the Liverpool manager seen as the public’s favorite to fill the role despite the improbability of such an appointment.

Rhind-Tutt, on the other hand, believes that “the dream scenario for them would be Jurgen Klopp.” But I believe that is a little out of reach. I’m wondering if it could tempt him.

“Being the face or one of the faces of a home European tournament, let alone as a coach, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” That’s why I believe it may pique Jurgen Klopp’s interest later in the season if they can’t find a huge solution now.”

Klopp becoming Germany’s next president would be disrespectful to Liverpool

The chances of Klopp accepting the Germany position are slim, but if that happens, it would be insulting to Liverpool.

Since 2015, the Reds have proven to be Klopp’s home, with the German transforming the club into his image and one of the finest in Europe.

And throwing all of that work away for a crack at international glory would be seen as a waste by many, especially if there are better candidates available for the Germany post.
