Liverpool admire Jarrod Bowen and may explore him as a potential successor for Mohamed Salah next summer.
According to The Athletic, if Mohamed Salah left in the next transfer window, Liverpool could consider Jarrod Bowen. The 26-year-old West Ham star’s reputation as a left-footed right winger has grown in recent years, and he is one of the frontrunners to replace the Egyptian at Anfield.
Although the Saudi window has closed, the Mohamed Salah case remains open. For the time being, no other team is relieved, but Liverpool will be on guard for future approaches from the Middle East for their talismanic winger.
The Saudis were unsuccessful with a large bid and may have considered another before their window closed. Al Ittihad, in particular, could make another massive offer in January or next summer. Only this time, Liverpool may relent and contemplate selling the Egyptian.
In that case, their next objective must be to find a quality replacement for the Egyptian. There aren’t many left-footed right-wingers in the world who can compete with Salah. An alternate concept of finding a superstar successor has crossed Liverpool’s mind, with Kylian Mbappe or perhaps Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior being considered.
Those names could improve their overall offensive production, but they do not suit the description. Liverpool already have Luis Diaz and Coady Gakpo on the left side, which may force the club to sign a Salah successor.
Bukayo Saka’s name has previously been mentioned, and others have recently suggested that Liverpool spend Salah’s money on the 22-year-old. It might have happened if it had been 2020, but in the current context, Arsenal is unlikely to entertain any proposals, especially from local rivals.
Jarrod Bowen surfaced as a Liverpool target throughout the days surrounding Salah rumours. The Merseysiders are said to like the 26-year-old West Ham player and believe he would be a great substitute for Salah.
He is left-footed and plays on the right flank, but Salah’s productivity surpasses that of West Ham’s 26-year-old star. However, with the correct coaching and system, Bowen can replicate the figures that Jurgen Klopp demands, and he appears contractually attainable.
