Andre Onana & Amrabat is likely to miss next Man Utd 7 games due to force majeure

Coach Ten Hag has another headache now that Cameroon has qualified for the African Cup of Nations. This indicates he’ll be missing Onana in the near future.

In 7 games, Man Utd may without Onana

Last Tuesday, Cameroon qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations. This means that MU will be without goalkeeper Onana for the next seven games.

Last month, Onana confirmed his comeback to international service for the vital final qualifying match against Burundi. From January 13 to February 11, the Cameroonian goalkeeper will compete in the finals in Ivory Coast.

In the coming weeks, Coach Ten Hag will negotiate Onana’s plans. If Onana participates in the African tournament in January, Ten Hag will only have two options: recent £4.3m recruit Turkish international Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.

Sofyan Amrabat is also expected to play in the event for Morocco. Amad Diallo and Hannibal Mejbri, both midfielders on MU’s roster, will represent Ivory Coast and Tunisia, respectively.

Meanwhile, despite recent issues, Manchester United have confirmed both Antony and Jadon Sancho to their Premier League squad for the coming season. Antony, a Brazilian midfielder, is absent as he works to defend his image following allegations made by his ex-girlfriend.

Sancho has returned to Manchester United’s Carrington training complex, but he enraged Ten Hag with a social media post after the Red Devils’ 3-1 loss to Arsenal 10 days ago.
