Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future appears to be in jeopardy. The Egyptian legend has recently been linked with a move to Al-Ittihad, and it is reported that the Reds turned down a €150 million transfer fee for him. If he leaves in the future, the club will need to find a replacement, and they have been linked with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius has grown in stature when Carlo Ancelotti took over as manager. He has progressed from an inconsistent Brazilian wonderkid who struggled to make an effect on games to one of Real Madrid’s most consistent suppliers of goals and, arguably, the club’s face since Karim Benzema’s departure.
As a result, it is difficult to imagine Real Madrid parting ways with Vinicius anytime soon. Nonetheless, it appears that Liverpool has been given some optimism.
According to SPORT, in the case of Vinicius, a window of opportunity may open on Merseyside. The Brazilian has yet to sign a contract extension, or at least it has yet to be formally disclosed, and Liverpool will continue to wait as long as there is the possibility of signing him.
Liverpool provided hope in the race for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr
Since last year, there have been rumors that Vinicius had already signed a contract extension. Despite this, nothing formal has been announced.
If an extension has been signed, one has to question why the news has been delayed. Initially, there were suspicions that the club was saving it to cheer up the fans after a disappointing outcome in an important game.
However, many such instances have passed since then with no official notification. Naturally, one must wonder if a contract extension has been signed.
