Arsenal agreed to spend £50M to recruit ‘Japanese Messi’ to share burdens on the right wing with Bukayo Saka

According to Punch Drunk AFC, the Gunners want to make the deal in January.

Bukayo Saka has developed strongly over the years and is among the best wingers in Europe at the present time. Saka is almost certain to be guaranteed a starting spot at Arsenal, but that also comes with disadvantages because operating at a high frequency can significantly affect the physical condition of the young British star.

That’s why coach Mikel Arteta is looking for a solution to divide Saka’s fire.

According to sources from Punch Drunk AFC, the Spanish captain targets Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo.

The 22-year-old player is highly appreciated for his skills and is also showing impressive performances this season with 3 goals and 1 assist. Therefore, Arteta is considering bringing Kubo to the Emirates in January.

There is a good relationship between Arsenal and Sociedad. This summer, they successfully cooperated in the Kieran Tierney deal and this will be a bridge to help the Gunners promote negotiations to recruit Kubo.

Sociedad was quite open to selling the former Barcelona prodigy, but they offered a relatively high price (about 50 million pounds).
