‘Been a while’ – Andy Robertson sends message after ‘game changing’ moment for Liverpool vs Wolves

Left-back for Liverpool Andy Robertson became a hero for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool after scoring a spectacular second-half goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers.Andy Robertson, Liverpool’s great defender, was overjoyed to score the game-winning goal on a landmark day in his club’s history. After a dismal first half performance, the Reds came from behind to upset Wolves 3-1 at Molineux on Saturday.

For his 200th Premier League appearance with the Merseyside club, Robertson wore the captain’s armband. His performance was critical, especially in the last minutes of the game.

The Scottish star took advantage of a mistake by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa and combined with Mohamed Salah to score a key goal. This was his first goal since May 20, 2022, against the same opponent.

The 29-year-old defender had a somewhat unusual week after playing a role in Scotland’s loss to England. His previous error, which resulted to Jude Bellingham’s goal, was most likely on his mind.

He did, however, reply with an outstanding performance and an important goal. As Liverpool’s defensive leader, he rose to the occasion and guided his side through difficult situations, with his goal acting as a well-deserved reward on a day that demonstrated his tremendous worth.

The former Hull City player was overjoyed to be a part of the winning team. He wrote on his official Instagram account:

“It’s been a long time, but nothing compares to this feeling.” Second half was much better!!”

In a team that is constantly changing, Robertson remains a stable and vital character in the locker room.

Liverpool fans are keen for the defender to reclaim his top-tier form. How can anyone forget when the Scottish star, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, used to score and assist in record numbers?

This season, the club hasn’t quite achieved its peak, but the ability to secure great outcomes even while not at their best is a hopeful indicator. The Reds are presently third in the table under Klopp, with their sole loss coming on the opening day of the season at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds have been in excellent form recently, and they will be hoping that their most experienced players, such as Robertson, continue to flourish for the club.
