After posting an Instagram story about maybe joining the Miami Heat, Damian Lillard removed it.
Damian Lillard has made it obvious that the Miami Heat are the only team he wants to play for in the upcoming season. Dame’s determination to sign with Miami hasn’t wavered despite the Portland Trail Blazers’ inability to come up with an acceptable trade offer.
Damian Lillard referred to him as a “Miami Heat legend” in an Instagram story that he posted on Friday. However, not before going viral on social media, the story was removed.
Damian Lillard’s post is extremely arrogant and might signify one of two things. He posted it because there’s a probability that a deal is now closer than it was previously. The Miami Heat supporters will be hoping for it.
The second possibility is that he is doing it to increase pressure on the Trail Blazers organization, albeit it doesn’t currently appear like this strategy will succeed. Whatever the case, the viewers had a lot to say about it.
When Damian Lillard’s trade request initially came to light, it was the topic of the NBA, but the issue has since died down. And as one fan put it, his supporters don’t like this attitude from him.
Whatever his motivation for uploading the story may have been, he swiftly removed it. Some fans have also expressed displeasure over the fact that social media pages are drawing attention to it and posting about it.
One fan doesn’t believe that Lillard being sold to the Heat even makes that much of a difference to them, despite the fact that many fans are arguing whether it was appropriate or bad for Lillard to have posted this.
Some Blazers supporters now just want the whole drama to finish, when earlier they didn’t want to see Lillard get his wish since he impeded other moves.
Damian Lillard has lost a lot of credibility as a result of this whole thing, and things will only get worse from here. He has lost quite a few admirers as a result of his actions this offseason, and his only hope at this time is that the Heat will be able to trade for him.
The Damian Lillard scenario has once again brought up many issues related to player authority, but he isn’t overly concerned with the overall implications. According to sources, Damian Lillard won’t go to any other training camp than Miami.
Before the beginning of training camp, which is coming up in the following two and a half weeks, “expect Portland and Miami to re-engage,” Shams Charania said.
At this moment, Portland and Miami are reportedly the only two training camps that Damian Lillard would officially report to.
In Portland, Damian Lillard developed a reputation as a devoted superstar, but this offseason, his behavior has damaged that reputation.
But hopefully this trade goes through and the saga doesn’t worsen than it already has in the best interests of all parties.
