United considered a move for Kane at the start of the summer but decided against it due to the high expense of signing the England captain from Tottenham.
Bayern agreed a £100 million agreement to sign Kane from Tottenham, while United signed Hojlund for £72 million from Atalanta.
After arriving at Old Trafford with a back ailment, Hojlund is being carefully nursed back to full fitness; meanwhile, Kane has hit the ground running at Bayern, scoring four goals in four Bundesliga outings.
Ten Hag, on the other hand, is confident that United made the right option during the transfer window.
‘I don’t think we need to have this conversation again,’ Ten Hag said when asked if United regretted missing out on Kane.
‘We are pleased with Rasmus, who was hurt in the first game.
‘He played against Arsenal, he’s now had a start, now we have to integrate him in the team.
‘But you can see he’s a huge talent and he will add to our game. We’re fairly certain of that.’
Meanwhile, Kane has stated that he is’really thrilled’ to be joining Bayern Munich in the summer.
‘Obviously, I know there were some background negotiations between a few clubs throughout the summer, but Bayern were a team I was genuinely fascinated and thrilled by,’ said the England captain before of Bayern’s Champions League encounter with United on Wednesday evening.
‘There weren’t many other debates when they arrived. It was up to them and Tottenham to negotiate, and then the deal was completed.
‘I’m concentrating on this. Manchester United is a fantastic club, as well as a very large club. I just chose to come here and I’m glad I did.’
