Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren appear in a recent Pepsi commercial.
The two became close while playing for Liverpool from 2017 to 2020, but their friendship is now long-distance owing to Lovren’s move to Zenit St. Petersburg.
However, thanks to a recent Pepsi commercial, the two were able to reconcile. As a result, they embarked on a food-tasting excursion around Egypt’s streets.
Salah has been in a number of Pepsi ads as part of his endorsement deal with the company. In October 2021, one such commercial was shot in the heart of Liverpool for the company.
After his departure from Liverpool was revealed three years ago, Salah sent the following message to Lovren: “I don’t know what to say, my friend. I’m not sure what it is, but I know we’ll miss you. Specifically, myself.
You’ve been a fantastic friend and teammate. We will miss you terribly. I think about you frequently and miss you terribly. You’ve done an outstanding job both on and off the field, and I admire you for it.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for everything you’ve done for the club and for me.Have a good career and have pleasure with your loved ones at the new club; you have my best wishes for the future. Please accept my heartfelt thanks, and I hope to see you again soon.
Lovren returned to his former club in January of this year, joining Lyon in Ligue 1. Prior to joining Southampton, the central defender was a member of the French national team from 2010 until 2013.
