David De Gea considers retiring, The Man Utd stars are angry with the way club’s management treats Spanish goalkeeper

Since leaving Manchester United in the summer, David de Gea has not committed to another team. He may decide to retire while he waits for the appropriate situation to arise.

David de Gea, a former goalkeeper for Manchester United, is thinking about making a sudden exit from the sport if he does not get a call from a “major” team offering him the position of first choice.

The 32-year-old left the Red Devils in July when his contract expired, ending a productive 12-year tenure at Old Trafford. De Gea played 545 times for Manchester and amassed 190 clean sheets while there. He also won the Premier League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup, among other significant awards.

De Gea has turned down numerous offers since his departure, and during the summer transfer window, he was strongly connected with a move to Saudi Arabia. The Spanish international, however, has chosen against signing with any club just yet and is instead holding out in the hopes that the appropriate team and management would make an offer.

Less than two months into the current season, The Guardian reported that De Gea may decide to resign and finish his professional career if the proposal is not received. The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is still keeping himself in shape and is ready to join a team that will challenge for championships.

After spending his final years at United as one of the highest earners at £375,000 per week, De Gea’s next move is not primarily driven by money. Al-Nassr, Sevilla, and Real Betis are all reportedly interested in signing De Gea, who will turn 33 in November, but De Gea thinks he still has a lot to give.

Andre Onana, a 27-year-old who cost Inter Milan roughly £47 million, replaced De Gea under Erik ten Hag in the summer. In their first six games, United have only preserved one clean sheet, and Onana has allowed 14 goals, including four against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Leroy Sane’s goal for Bayern was the team’s first goal, and Onana was criticized by both fans and analysts for committing a costly error that allowed the ball to slither underneath him and cross the goal line. The Cameroonian chose to address the media and admitted guilt for United’s loss at the Allianz Arena.

Following Onana’s blunder, The Sun has reported that the United team was incensed at how De Gea was handled after leaving the field. The seasoned goalie was well-liked in the team’s locker room and was awarded Player of the Year four times.

De Gea added, “I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters,” in a statement after leaving United. I want to say how grateful and appreciative I am for your love over the past 12 years.
