The Mirror recently reported that winger Jadon Sancho is experiencing difficult days at MU when coach Erik ten Hag imposed a strict punishment.
After Sancho had a conflict with coach Ten Hag, the British press reported that the former Dortmund star had to train alone in the youth team. However, this is actually only a very small part of the punishment given by Ten Hag.
Mirror said Sancho has been banned from all MU first-team facilities at Carrington Center, including the dining room. While the players in the Red Devils’ first team gather to eat together, Sancho will have to eat with the youth team as a punishment.
Last year, Ten Hag also applied a similar punishment to Cristiano Ronaldo – who repeatedly violated discipline. This means Sancho will not be able to return to the MU first team until he admits his mistake and apologizes to Ten Hag. As long as Sancho goes into the water and opens his mouth to apologize to the Dutch teacher, everything can start again from the beginning and vice versa.
However, according to the foggy media, Sancho himself was not happy with the punishment he was receiving but maintained his stance on refusing to apologize to coach Ten Hag. Obviously, Sancho’s ego is so big that he refuses to bow to the head coach.
Previously, Daily Mail revealed that Sancho continuously arrived late to practice and did not meet the standards required by Ten Hag. Even the team in England was upset with Sancho’s attitude and timing the previous times he was called up to the national team.
From here, it can be partly seen that Ten Hag’s criticism of Sancho’s poor performance at the training ground is true. Meanwhile, Sancho insisted that he was right, only because he was considered a “scapegoat” that Ten Hag was not registered in the starting lineup in the 1-3 loss to Arsenal not long ago.
As soon as he took over MU last summer, Ten Hag outlined 5 rules at MU that forced his students to follow, otherwise, they would be severely punished, no matter who they were. These 5 laws include:
- You will not be allowed to play if you are late to practice or late to team meetings
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed during competition weeks
- Must-eat food and drinks prepared by the club (private chefs are prohibited)
- Check BMI monthly
- If you have any complaints, you must tell the head coach
Looking here, it can be seen that Sancho has violated Article 1 many times. He was asked to arrive at least an hour earlier than the rest of the first team, to ensure he arrived at Carrington on time every day. In addition, Sancho seems to have violated Article 5, when he publicly criticized Ten Hag in front of “the people of the world” instead of the two teachers and students “closing the door and telling each other”.
With this situation, Sancho’s only option is to leave Old Trafford to save his career. Otherwise, everything will be ruined as the relationship between him and Ten Hag is now irreparable.
