After the rumored deal between the Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers, Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat) shared a video on his Instagram story.
Damian Lillard allegedly wanted a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers at the start of the offseason.
The Miami Heat had been one of the most talked-about destinations, and he reportedly wanted to play for them.
However, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday that the Trail Blazers had moved Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a three-team transaction that also included the Phoenix Suns.
Following the announcement, Jimmy Butler posted a video to his Instagram story, which has already gone viral.
“Yo NBA man, ya’ll need to look into the Bucks for tampering,” Butler says in the video. That’s what you do. That’s all I’m going to say about it. You didn’t hear it from me, but I heard it from someone else.”
Butler has led the Heat to the NBA playoffs in each of his four seasons with the team.
They have twice reached the NBA Finals and three times reached the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat were the eighth seed in the East last season, but they advanced to the Finals after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed), New York Knicks (fifth seed), and Boston Celtics (second seed) in the first three rounds.
Despite losing in five games against the Denver Nuggets, the season was a big success.
However, the loss of Lillard is a huge disappointment for the organization.
In addition to Butler (34) and Kyle Lowry (37), the team has lost key players such as Max Strus and Gabe Vincent throughout the winter.
