The odds of the defending NBA champions repeating have improved, but they are no longer the favorites to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

As of Monday afternoon, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets had +475 odds to win the title next season, according to both BetMGM and DraftKings Sportsbook, an improvement from their +500 chances at the end of last season. However, with the revelation that Portland traded top guard Damian Lillard to Milwaukee, the Bucks are suddenly +400 and +390, respectively.
On Caesars Sportsbook, Denver improved from +475 to +425, while Milwaukee improved to +375.

However, on Fanduel Sportsbook, Denver dropped from +460 to +500, while the Bucks (+375) and Celtics (+425) went ahead of them.
The Miami Heat, last season’s runner-up, have dropped to +2,200 to +3,000.
