Fans were outraged earlier this week when the Naples tweeted a video on their official TikTok account ridiculing their own player for missing a penalty.
According to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old was enraged by the club’s social media activities, and his agent, Roberto Calenda, threatened legal action.
Osimhen refuses to rejoice
Osimhen’s feud with Napoli appears to be far from finished, with the Super Eagles star hesitating to celebrate his goal for the club on Wednesday night.
The ex-Lille player scored one of the goals in Rudi Garcia’s 4-1 victory over Udinese.
Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski started the scoring from the penalty spot in the 19th minute, and Osimhen increased the lead before the break.
According to the Daily Star, the Nigerian superstar turned away before checking to see if the ball had crossed the line.
After confirming his goal, the towering striker carefully strolled around and waited for his teammates to join him in celebration, making it plain that he is still unhappy with the club’s hierarchy.
