Jurgen Klopp’s team defeated Everton 2-0 in their last league match before winning the Europa League against Toulouse, with the games coming thick and fast.
Liverpool’s next game is against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, which the Reds won 3-2 in a tense comparable meeting last season.
Following a mixed bag of results, Steve Cooper’s men are currently 15th in the table, and a home win is critical for the Merseysiders in the title hunt.
What do you think of Nottingham Forest’s start to the season?
Obviously, tying with Luton after leading 2-0 was a nightmare.
Nottingham would have been 11th and satisfied with the two points, but it tarnished an otherwise promising start, especially away from home against the elite clubs.
We need to do better at home against opponents we’re supposed to beat, which this game isn’t.
Do you believe they will retain their Premier League status?
Yes, absolutely. The three promoted teams, as well as Bournemouth, are all suffering.
Everton don’t appear particularly impressive, while Wolves and Fulham might still fall down the league.
This season, it’s really two leagues in one: the top six or seven, with Brighton, Villa, and West Ham aiming to challenge them, and the rest.
What one thing would you change about Forest?
We’re lacking depth in the attack after losing Brennan Johnson.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Awoniyi are out, as is Divock Origi (who will need to replicate his Liverpool form when he returns), so it’s up to Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga, and Chris Wood to produce.
It would be ideal if we could recruit a winger.
