Darren Bent of talkSPORT says Manchester United have “no chance” of bringing in Aston Villa boss Unai Emery to replace Erik ten Hag.
Despite a successful first season in charge of Manchester United, Ten Hag is under severe pressure at Old Trafford following a sluggish start to the 2023/24 season.
The Red Devils are positioned eighth in the Premier League after ten games, having lost half of their games in the top flight, while Ten Hag’s club is eight points behind the top four.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa is flying high under Unai Emery, sitting fifth in the table, just four points behind top team Tottenham.
Asked if Emery would like to leave Villa Park for Old Trafford, Bent told talkSPORT: “He won’t leave Aston Villa now. He won’t do that.
Certainly not with the chaos going on at Man Utd. He won’t leave. No chance. Currently, he is at a stable football club and is moving in the right direction.
I don’t know what’s going on at Man Utd. Look, Man Utd is a bigger club, I have no doubt about that, but at the moment Aston Villa are in a more stable position and look better than Man Utd.
Do you think Eddie Howe will leave Newcastle for Man Utd? Absolutely not.”
