On Saturday night, Kylian Mbappe achieved a significant milestone by scoring the 300th goal of his senior career. The France captain reached this landmark in impressive fashion during France’s record-breаking 14-0 victory over Gibraltar. It marked Mbappe’s 17th career hat-trιck, with the goal coming from nearly 40 yards.
At the age of 24 years, 10 months, and 29 days, Mbappe reached the 300-goal mark, which is considerably younger than both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo when they achieved the same milestone. Messi scored his 300th goal in October 2012 at the age of 25 years, four months, and three days, while Ronaldo reached it at the age of 27.
Although Mbappe has reached 300 goals faster than Messi and Ronaldo, it may be challenging for him to match their overall career tallies. Messi, currently 36 years old, has amassed 821 goals, while Ronaldo, at 38, holds the world record with 865 career goals and continues to be a prolific scorer even after moving to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
While Mbappe’s achievement is impressive, the longevity and prolific scoring records of Messi and Ronaldo set a high bar for any player to match.
