Kevin Durant, the Suns’ star forward, will miss his third consecutive game due to a hamstring ailment when the Suns visit the Miami Heat on Friday night.
According to Phoenix coach Frank Vogel, Durant felt some soreness in his right hamstring during the midday shootaround.
During his pregame availability conference, Vogel said of team trainers, “They are doing everything they can to get him back on the floor.”
Guard Eric Gordon (knee) and forward Nassir Little (knee) have both been ruled out by the Suns.
Jimmy Butler (toe) of Miami had earlier been ruled out. Butler will be sidelined for the seventh time in eight games.
He missed the first four games owing to a calf ailment. Butler has missed the last three games after playing against the Utah Jazz on December 30 due to a toe injury.
On Friday, the Heat ruled out forward Caleb Martin (ankle). This is his fifth missed game in a row.
