According to reports, Mane donated £200,000 in April of last year to support the construction of a secondary school in Bambali. The cheque was presented by Mane’s uncle, Sana Toure, at a ceremony held for the occasion.
In a statement read by his uncle during the sod-cutting ceremony, Mane expressed the importance of education, stating, “Education is very important. This is what will enable you to have a good career.”
The gesture made by Sadio Mane has been widely appreciated by the local community. Young people, dignitaries, village chiefs, and religious officials all expressed their gratitude for Mane’s contribution and offered prayers for the talented footballer.
